I was born near Johannesburg in South Africa in 1973. As soon as I could string words together, I started writing. My very first "publishing success" was a humouous epic poem about the ten plagues, sold for 40c a copy to friends at school when I was about twelve years old. I continued through my teenage years to freak out my friends, who worried they inspired the weird essays I wrote. They did, but don't tell them.

In 1995, I married my wonderful husband, who proceeded to turn my life into a great adventure. We've lived in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Pretoria and Bloemfontein before making the big move to Dundalk on the east coast of Ireland in 2005.

Near the end of 2003, Husband casually suggested I try to write a book. The poor man didn't know what he was unleashing. It was the nudge that allowed me to do what I always dreamed of: pursue writing seriously.

Since then, I have devoted every spare moment to honing my skills as a writer. I had short stories published in e-zines such as Gryphonwood Press, DKA and Wild Rose Press. My short story Syllen (Dragons, Knights & Angels Magazine) was included in the "Best Of" anthology Distant Passages Vol. 2.

2009 saw the online publication of my first novel, The Pebble, a fantasy romance.

Now settled with my family and a fluctuating cat population, I have to discipline myself not to write. My playground as author covers fiction and non-fiction, though fantasy remains my first love. My other love is cycling. I've been known on rare occasions to clean my house.
